It is a series of paintings that refer to elements laying underneath other elements. Since my work has dealt with the study of the city, the passage of time, decadence or the defragmentation that comes along with time, "What Lies Beneath" would then be those objects or icons related with that decadence. In this case the objects dealt with are cars, motorcycles, buses, trucks and machinery in general created by mankind. Objects that usually go unnoticed but at the same time contain relevant information regarding places and people as if they were history carriers more than actual objects. I try to rescue them and make them visible, taking them out of their original context. The passage of time is also visible in these objects, like some sort of mutation from its original form adapting to their owner's demand.
