NIGHTLY SERIES

This series emerges from Irrealism, which, as the name implies, seeks to highlight the ""non-real" nature of everyday life. With a concrete basis in the drawing, he appeals to subtle substitutions of elements of reality and with the alteration of colors stylizes the shapes of certain fragments of the city until they become - almost abstractions of it.

Nightly is currently within the series Unrealism but is on its way to becoming a series in itself. Inspired by the John Field and Fréderic Chopin Nocturnes that have a simple ternary structure A-B-A that brings the feeling of melancholy. The appropriation of this musical style is present during the act of selecting the images, as well as in the painting process, inspired by moments of my past that brings me closer to melancholy, which I trust is transmitted in the finished pieces. The best way to appreciate this series is to listen to the nightlife of these two composers.
